No time for exercise
When you have a bazillion things on your “to do” list, it’s easy to write off your workout. And while you might not sweat it you should!
Research shows that exercise can boost your productivity, fend off weight gain and alleviate stress when life gets frantic. We are all aware of the benefits of exercise to cardiovascular health, bone strength, blood pressure and sleep. But, you may not be aware that exercise balances neurotransmitters and other chemicals in the brain. These substances influence brain activity related to mood, attention, motivation and arousal. That’s why you’re more likely to feel calmer, more alert and more focused after exercise.
New research shows that only a quarter of workers in Ireland (26%) take the recommended level of exercise for a healthy lifestyle each week. (30 mins x 5 times per week). And as a nation we know we all need to get healthier. If honest to god have zero time……
