Katie graduated from University of Salford Manchester with an BSc Honours in Physiotherapy. She also completed Physiology and Health Science in Carlow IT. She is a Chartered Physiotherapist, a current member of the ISCP and is registered with CORU.
Since graduating Katie has worked within the NHS in the UK, where she worked mainly with Musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. For the last 5 years she has been a physiotherapist in UHK Tralee where she has worked with Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedics, Neurology and Respiratory conditions, in both the acute setting and in outpatients. She has also worked in private practice over the last 5 years, where she has taught Pilate classes, before joining Corinne Evans in January 2021. She has experience of working in sports where she has worked with different GAA teams, most recently, in the last 3 years with Kerins O Rahillies Senior Mens football team. Katie has continued to progress her knowledge base since finishing University by doing further training in Dry needling, Pilates, and numerous courses on shoulder, knee and lower back. She has a keen interest in sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions.
Outside of work Katie enjoys going to the gym, travelling, walking and basketball, she is a member of St. Brendan Ladies Basketball team.
